Day 24: No Wonder I was so into Punk Rock!

Before The Ramones, The Clash, and The Sex Pistols, there were two bands that formed and broke up before any of those early punk bands released any material. They were short lived, and extremely influential:

Iggy and The Stooges
These bands definitely created the way for punk rock. The famous Detroit magazine "CREEM" was the first to use it, if not conceptualize the term. In my high school years I got way into pop punk, but this late 60s punk, is much more aggressive, angry, and obscene. Almost the anti-thesis of the Motown sound that was throughout much of Detroit.
