Since I last updated I have done much. Worked 31 hours, hung out with the Schmidts, was gravely disappointed with MSU's loss today, decorated an Easter egg with the face of Detroit Tiger's Jonny Damon, and finished tracking the song. At least I think I just finished tracking tonight. I need to sleep on it, editing tomorrow.
Lyrics for this week:
It could be a song with no tempo
Or an endless repeated refrain
The slap of a stick or a soaring guitar solo
But to You, it all sounds the same
Sounds like Your daughters and Your sons
Realize that their eternity's been won
And they join in with the angels' song
And invite us to all sing along
The song above, I wrote a couple weeks back, out of a time of being frustrated with my songwriting. I so wanted my songs to be complex and hooky, and above all pleasing to the Lord. And I felt like God showed me that it all just sounds like praise to Him, in essence it is about the heart, not the song! So I will post tomorrow and I hope you enjoy it.
And enjoy this Easter Tradition of mine, listen to this as you wake tomorrow:
